Rachael Annan is a landscape planner and a registered landscape architect with experience in both consultancies and local government roles. She has also worked in urban design review (overseeing the Christchurch Urban Design Panel) and provides a people focused design approach. Rachael brings cost effective and creative design solutions to improve project outcomes; benefiting developers, communities and the receiving environment. Her planning responsive approach is of key value as projects go through the resource consent process and helps enable the best ‘on the ground’ results.
Design involves bringing together often-competing or diverse interests, so that the issues of project, place and people are heard.
Rachael’s design review expertise includes:
Resource consent (and private plan change) design review and development for projects including subdivisions, residential medium density development, retirement villages, suburban master plans, schools and commercial developments
Expert witness role for the environment court and council hearings
Landscape and urban design policy development and review
