Rowan leads multi-disciplinary teams in designing strategies for large development projects. He also helps councils with plan reviews and is skilled at appeals mediation and resolution. Rowan rides mountain bikes as skillfully as he manages significant projects like destination and conservation strategies, natural hazards issues and rural land development.
One of my favourite jobs so far was working on Rekohu (Chatham Islands) with the Hokotehi Moriori Trust and DOC. We developed a plan for the Taia Reserve, a place of huge cultural and spiritual significance to Moriori. It was an honour to work with people committed to innovative conservation outcomes. Being able to explore the island by bike was a major plus too!
