Deborah is a project manager for plan reviews and helps clients develop strategies for clear and effective policy. She also works with councils on appeals management and mediation, community consultation and rural planning. Deb enjoys ‘collecting’ fabric and even occasionally gets her sewing machine out to use some of it.

Deborah has practiced as a policy planner for New Zealand councils since 2008 and joined Perception Planning in 2015. She has a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Science from the University of Auckland. She has experience giving evidence in hearings, managing consultation processes and is very interested in planning issues faced in the rural environment. Deborah’s expertise includes:
