"He manawa piharau."
~ A Maōri saying that means 'one with sustained strength' or 'determined until the end', and refers to the piharau’s (lamprey) ability to climb waterfalls and other seemingly impossible barriers to reach their spawning grounds upstream.
Sometimes planning can be a little like the journey of the piharau.
Denise joined Perception Planning in 2019 after working in local and regional councils, the Department of Conservation, and the Office of Treaty Settlements. She has a Masters of Resource and Environmental Planning (first class honours) from Massey University.
