Helen leads multi-disciplinary teams through challenging plan reviews, represents clients as a planning expert at Environment Court hearings, and is particularly interested in issues around water quality and biodiversity. She helps policy teams cut through the waffle to produce exceptional plans that are supported by robust reports. Helen is a firm believer in the benefits of walking meetings, yoga, and is a mean digger driver on her family’s farm.
The best part about my job is getting to work with passionate, talented committed, clever people; other planners, experts in other technical fields, communities and awesome people. I am constantly blown away by the intelligence and commitment of the people I get to work with.
Helen has been practising as a planner since 2000 and joined Perception Planning as a director in 2010. She has a Bachelor of Resource and Environmental Planning degree with honours (environmental science specialisation) from Massey University.
