Rachael Annan is a senior landscape planner and a registered landscape architect with experience in consultancies and local government. Her planning-responsive approach to landscape assessments is critical for projects going through resource consent processes, and helps enable the best ‘on the ground’ results.
Rachael specialises in design review, and provides expert advice for landscape planning and urban design issues (she oversaw the Christchurch Urban Design Panel). She comes up with cost effective and creative design solutions that result in the best project outcomes - benefiting developers, communities and the receiving environment.
Design involves bringing together competing or diverse interests, so that the issues of project, place and people are heard.
Rachael’s design review expertise includes:
Resource consent (and private plan change) design review and development for projects including subdivisions, residential medium density development, retirement villages, suburban master plans, schools and commercial developments
Expert witness role for the environment court and council hearings
Landscape and urban design policy development and review
